Former Student Shares His Experience at Excel
We sat down with former student, Maicon Guisolfi, and interviewed him regarding his experience as a student at Excel English Institute. Maicon is from Brazil and his native language is Portuguese. He was looking forward to learning English to help him professionally in the United States. Choosing an English language school is not easy and we hope his insights help anyone looking for an ESL school.
Q: When Did you First Enter Excel English Institute?
A: I started studying at Excel English Institute on April 2, 2018.
Q: Why Did You Choose Excel?
A: After visiting a few schools here in Dallas I went to Excel for a visit where I had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Gordon who explained the whole process of entering the school to me. She was very patient in answering all my questions. With that I had a better idea of what my student life would be like and from that I made the best decision to study at Excel.
Q: How long did you study at Excel?
A: 1 year and 5 months.
Q: What did you like most about your experience at Excel?
A: What I liked most about my experience at Excel, besides learning English, was learning not only about American culture but also the culture of other countries through my classmates. I feel that by studying at Excel I connected with the world.
Q: What level did you enter the school and at what level did you leave?
A: I enrolled in Beginning English and graduated from the Advanced Program.
Q: What was your learning experience like as a student at Excel?
A: My experience at Excel exceeded all my expectations. I arrived there without knowing English and in the first few months, I was already speaking and understanding the language. It showed the high level and commitment of each professional who works at Excel. Everyone is very caring towards the students and helps you achieve your goals, always giving the best advice. Through Excel, I have made friends around the world. If I had to go back in time and decide which school to study English at, I would definitely still choose Excel.
Q: What kind of successes have you had since learning English?
A: Learning English was a personal achievement that helped me expand my knowledge and improve my life here in the USA. I currently work as a real estate agent for Keller Williams Realty.
We hoped the insights shared by Maicon help you decide on the perfect ESL school for you. Our thanks to Maicon for sharing his experiences as a student at Excel!
